Wellllll, here it is, fANNtastics....new year, new decade!!  How 'bout that?  Kinda exciting, isn't it?

I love love love love Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, just love 'em.  But can I say I'm kinda glad routine is settling back in??? :).  All my TV people are back from vacation, for one thing LOL LOL LOL.  And things are kinda back to "rut mode" here at ADM.  Naw, I'm kiddin' now...no "rut modes" allowed here.

Love Washington/Oregon
I'll have to say that even though my body felt like it had been flying for a year non-stop this past weekend, it was a great two or three days in the great Northwest!  I love Washington/Oregon, always have.  The Downings have had the NW as a friend almost ever since we began singing.  This past weekend was no different.  It was just terrific being with Pastor  Steve Stecker and the great folks at Rainier Community Church of God in Rainier, OR on Saturday evening...then Sunday morning at Portland's First Pentecostal Church of God with Pastors Monte and Cyndi Love was delightful.  Then to finish the weekend of joy with Pastor Paul Cude and lots of folks at Lancaster Assembly of God in Oregon's capital city, Salem, put icing on the cake (whatever in the world that really means lol).

We had lots of visitors at all three concerts.  fANNtastic Becky (Rebhart) just made all three concerts...and that was fun, as always.  I want to give a big "thank you" to sweet Doris Samuelson and her husband for driving 160 miles one way for Sunday night, and I hope Doris will forgive me for saying this...they aren't as young as some of us are, but they weren't gonna let anything keep them from coming :).   Then there were several Facebook friends showing up...now that made it all just grand!

I hope you'll catch my schedule  and join in the fun this weekend.

Ringing in the New Year
Soooooo, did you have a fun "ringing in the new year"?  I did, I really did.  I was by myself and myself and I sang right along with Megyn and Bill..."Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?  Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And auld lang syne?"  In all seriousness, I'm grateful for a new year, aren't you?  Imagine that!!!  We've been given another great gift from our Abba Father...another opportunity to learn a whole lot about Him and His purpose for our lives.  Praise His Name!

I have to give a little ole "shout out" to my Ole Miss Rebels for pulling off that win at the very last minute or so in the Cotton Bowl Saturday.  Yeaaaaaa Rebels!  Ok...y'all can write me back to brag on YOUR team, toooooooo...and even cry if you lost!!!

Know one of the things I'm looking for this year?  I'm looking to learn more and more how to appreciate little things....simple things that can make life soooo rich, with hardly any "investment" except a willingness to see God's hand in my "everyday".  I've always loveddddddd the BIG STUFF of crowds, celebrations, huge events, that is 'til just the past few years.  I'm into keeping it reallll simple as far as my everyday world is concerned...and you know what?  I truly believe I hear HIM more clearly this way.  And it's amazing how much He works in the small things we encounter every day.  As the Martins used to sing..."I don't wanna miss a thang" :).  And that includes the "smallness" of life, that usually turns in to the "bigness" of life.   Bill Gaither and I were talking this morning of how much we have loved this gospel music that we were raised on and the simple melodies and lyrics that have been so important to us even now.

Thank You for Another Year
As I close this little first note of 2010 to you, the fANNtastics, let me thank you for another year of 2009...and let me say I'm gonna probably lean on you pretty heavy in 2010, perhaps looking for a shoulder that's available to get under the ministry challenges more and more.  Would you be open to that?  I'm gonna be telling you more about this later...in the meantime, thank you for praying for ADM...for Ann D to hear HIM!!!

And talking about praying...pray for Shar, who helps me sooooo much with the website, and lots of other things, such as putting together these newsletters.  (I do write what my name is attached to, however LOL LOL).  She is having eye surgery tomorrow (Wed.).  Thanks for remembering her.  And don't forget to let her know on a consistent basis how much you appreciate her doing a good job.  What a blessing she is to ADM...along with Tree.

Shar is gonna share with you about the "discount club" somewhere here :).  Thank you for participating.  You're the best!!

See y'all again soon...hopefully you'll join us in the chatroom (www.anndowning.com) at 9 p.m. central for prayer.  Blessings and joy...and one more time.....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! :)

Ann D
DISCOUNT CLUB
Here's the basic plan:  for 2010, Ann would like to offer a fANNtastic DISCOUNT CLUB to you fANNs...a way to save money on each order you place through her online store.

Now here's the deal...you have to "sign up for it". (more on that in a minute).  Next, you have to remember your special ordering code in order to get the deal (you'll be given that once you sign up).  Then all you have to do is place your order and enter the code in the comments box when you check out and the elves will deduct 20% from any regularly priced merchandise...10% from any sale merchandise...and email your adjusted total before your card is charged or your check is made out.  So you save on every order you place.

It's only $11.95 to join....and all you need to do is click here to "sign up" through the store.  We'll add your name and email to the club...and you'll save on each and every order you place throughout the entire year of 2010.  Now, you must type in that special code you'll receive in order to get the special discount...so be sure and remember it or keep it stored someplace safe.

Blessings to you and thank you so much for your prayers.
