Hi there fANNtastics,
We're almost there...it's almost 2009. Are you ready? What a
silly question....what difference does it make, we're going into 2009!!! :).
And as for me, I'm thrilled to see another year. Do you ever just stop and
think how blessed you are to have breath in your body? I do and I am
blessed!!! Soooooo bring it on!
2008 has been an interesting year for me....in some ways I've
never been as scared as I've been at times this year. Most of you know that in
the beginning of 2008 I went from having at least one full-time employee for the
past 9 years, two for almost a year, to "moi" only. I wasn't silly enough to
try and portray it to y'all, or anybody, as anything other than a need to
downsize because of circumstances that had developed over the past few
years...changes in my financial situation. I can't thank Him enough for helping
me to learn, bringing wonderful, fANNtastic folks alongside me to help...all the
while helping me keep my head on when at times it felt like the top would blow
off!!! Now, I know y'all have never felt anything akin to that, have you? lol
lol lol.

And did I tell y'all that there's gonna be a book????? :). Of
course I did. You guys have outdone yourselves in helping me get started with
the funds for SKIDMARKS ON THE ROAD OF LIFE. Honestly, it's been sooooo amazing
to hear from some of you fANNtastics who I've never heard from before, saying "I
want to help you get that book out". Bless you!!! All of you!! And I hope
you'll not get tired of me asking for help in the future, ok??

My Christmas was just the best...I just now got off the
phone with my sister, Vern, and Scarlett. We went back over what we got :), how
much we love the color, the fragrance, and all that good stuff. Isn't that fun
to do?? Dolly, my best friend, and I spent the past three days together just
enjoying Christmas...giving and receiving....all because He's taught us how to
do that as a testimony to our love for each other....lovin' Him first, of
course, because He first loved us!
Many thanks to some sweet people at the Lewisburg, TN
Church of God for hosting me this past Sun. morning...and what a great time at
Cracker Barrel with Pastor Billy Ray and Tina and scads of other folks as we
lunched together. By the way, I'm already on my way to getting my Christmas
2009 shopping done...starting at Cracker Barrel's 75% off sale :).

And before I go, I gotta say a big thank you to the AnnD
keeper of the weekend...Dolly. She's an elementary school principal and is more
out of her comfort zone around a sound system than anywhere else, but she forces
herself to do it for me :).
As I leave you for the last time this year, I guess, I also
thank you Barnabus Club members who have re-committed to help me do what I do by
giving to ADM each month. I pray abundant blessings to you, especially, but
then to all of you. I don't preach "giving to get" at all, I don't believe it's
Scriptural as I've heard some proclaim, but I do KNOW that we don't ever outgive
HIM. Praise His Holy Name. There's something very freeing in giving, don't you
agree? I mean, isn't it the silliest thing for us to entertain the thought that
we'd better be careful....God might run out of resources, we better hold on to
all we have when the times get tough, you never know when it could all dry up
forever. Good grief, I can hardly type that out, LOL LOL LOL. Almost heresy to
think that God is controlled by the world's economy. Aren't you thrilled and
grateful to remember that HE'S GOT IT ALL....and His word has promised that the
righteous has never been forsaken...nor has His own ever had to beg for bread.
He is wise with His provisions, but not selfish. Let's just hold on and keep
sharing and giving...it'll come back.
Wayelll, I'm gonna go, fix some supper and then get my tired
little ole bod to bed. As I leave, I want you to join me in thanking Shar for
putting together these newsletters this year. Now, let me assure you (can't
believe anyone would really think that I don't write these notes, but I've heard
they do) I write the stuff, she makes it look pretty :). And while I'm asking
you to help me thank her, help me thank AnnD keepers and helpers all over the
world...active, in addition to Shar, have been AnnieB, Willo, Barbara Ann, Lisa,
Tree, Karen, Alice, Karissa, others, others, others :). Praise
God!!
Good night to you. Please stay in touch...and don't you ever
forget that your Heavenly Father, Daddy God, has enough. And I truly believe it
brings Him joy to give and provide. Let's praise Him together as we leave 2008
and go into 2009.
