Happy Freedom Week,
fANNtastics!!
Don't you love this holiday? Love celebrating
our freedom as a nation, praising God for our wonderful country and the
privilege of living here? I'm sure grateful, and I always want to tell
those knuckleheads who put down our US of A to hightail it to somewhere
else...oops wouldn't want you fANNtastic Canadians, fANNtastics living in
Scotland, Ireland, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, South Africans, and wherever
you are, to have to listen to their whining!
Hey, I'm really in a good mood today...wonderfully
beautiful day here in Middle Tennessee. When I opened my backdoor right
after getting up (it's a part of my routine) I actually almost felt
chilly. And sitting out there during my devotions' time was a treat.
The birds of all kinds were having a ball out there. By the way, do y'all
have a "gazing ball"? Wayellll, I do...thanks to Barbann!!! That's
all connected there...gazing ball in my courtyard...........birthday present
from a good friend. Ok, on to weightier things :)...that was a compliment,
Barbann! lol.

A Wonderful Time

Oh my, I had a delightful time in Franklin, KY Sunday
morning...thanks to the good, good folks at First Nazarene. Willo did her
job well, except for the time she forgot she was running the sound 'cause I was
singing one of her fav songs and she was gettin' into
it!!!! :). I'm kidding. It was a good morning,
indeed. Good to see fANNtastics Gladys (with her long-time friend of mine
husband Ron) and Lori, who kinda put the whole morning together. And thank
you, fANNtastic CJ, for getting the ball rolling.
Oh, there are a few new pics posted...you can go there
to look via that link at www.anndowning.com. I think Tree's
got something up her sleeve with some of them...actually now that I'm thinking,
there are a lot of new ones up since I told y'all to go and look :).
Did y'all know I'm on vacation? Actually, I'm
working until Friday, then heading to Mississip...to the farm in Oldtown.
My little family and I will spend a few days together and of course be there for
the annual Clark family reunion (Mama's family).
Then that next weekend is a MS weekend of
concerts. Would you check the schedule and come? Hey, even if it's
not close, can't you just forget about gas prices and drive on to be with
us? :). Know what my cure for whining about gas prices is????
I just remember that God has more oil than we can ever find...and it's my job to
trust HIM to help us get to going at drilling, drilling, drilling here!!!
He can bring that to pass, I can't, you can't, and I'm not sure what living
human being could, but HE CAN. Will you join me in
believin'????

Joy to My Heart

I have to say you have brought joy to my little ole
heart by pre-ordering that new dvd coming out next week, "All About The
People". I had no idea that you would respond like you have...wow, praise
God!!! I may have to bring in a helper to get them shipped out...or could
I have a few volunteers????? :). Here's the link to order if you missed my
last newsletter's announcement of the little special for you fANNtastics..and

7/11).
I'm not sure when this note will get out, my
webpersons, Shar and Tree, are driving back home from Maine and
I'm not sure when they'll "light" in a motel and have internet service, but
whenever you do read it, just know that I'm appreciating you...hoping to hear
from you as to possibilities of me being at your church or another venue (I have
a few open slots yet this year). I'm hearing all over the place of singing
groups and soloists who have had to discontinue traveling because of high travel
costs...that makes me sad, and I wonder why in the world that should
be???!! Would you join me in praying for my friends who are having to park
their buses, lay people off, cut back a lot on going "out there". That
just doesn't seem right, does it? And while you're praying, it wouldn't
hurt my feelings at all to know you're praying for me...for ADM. I live by
faith week to week here...and without God providing through many of you and
those out there on the road, I'd have to "park myself"...but I'm not gonna go
there, I'm just not gonna yet.
And I'm praying for you...I really meant what I said
about believing that God is the answer to our oil crisis...and HE IS
ENOUGH! I choose to believe He cares. Praise His Name! I'm
praying that you'll be more aware of His care for you than you ever have.
Many blessings to you as you're walking this journey
that He's directed you on...and remember...He's never gotten lost, sooooo it
would behoove all of us to just continue following Him, don't you think?
Let me hear from you...take care of yourself and be sure to love those close
by. That's what HE does, ya know!! :).

fANNtastic Testimonial
I think the memorable experience is the friendship I
have received on the forum and chat room.... I have made alot of
friends and we keep in touch through email, snail mail and phone.....
whenever I am down I know that I can come to any one of them and ask
for prayer... and they will be there for me. When I was having a hard time
forgiving this person that killed my brother the fannstastics help me
through it... and I learned to forgive this person... and I felt a big
relief ....... even though I will never forget I have forgiven.......
